It pairs with the Ajax Hub 2 over the encrypted Jeweller radio protocol at distances up to 1,700m line-of-sight, runs up to 4.5 years on two AA batteries (or external 12V power for permanent installations), and includes tamper protection plus anti-burglar lockout after repeated wrong code attempts. IP55 rated against dust and water, operates from -25°C to +50°C, mounted on the supplied bracket.
